Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where can I find a pair like yours?

I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.

I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .

How much do they cost?

When I bought my pair in the golden goose April, I paid around $385, but their regular price is over $500.

These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how customized they are.

How does the sizing run?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up

Is the comfort worth it?

They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..

How do they perform over time?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

These are the best sneakers I own. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.

Would you recommend them?

Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also be smart.

Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.

Is the comfort worth it?

They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.

Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
